As a certified cupcake fanatic, it would totally be incomplete if I did not make some of my own. As much as it is a lot of fun venturing out and trying cupcakes from different places, I thought I should not insult a baker (deep down) inside me. Thus these homemade cupcakes were born as of February 2012. Gotta record it in a history!!
Shame..shame..shame, this KitchenAid mixer was given to me a gift on my very first Christmas here in the States from my thoughtful husband. At a time, I was not working, thus had plenty free time to experiment and let my creativities flow with baking adventure. A few months later, I landed a full time job and that was when my baking adventure ended. It had been years until I whipped it out this weekend to use. No kidding!! My husband has been using this mixer more often that I do. You can probably say that it was a gift from my husband to himself.

My mother-in-law birthday is coming up in a few days and that gave me a reason to whip something up to celebrate her birthday early. I decided to make a homemade version of everything from birthday card, soup to cupcakes. Do you agree that the prices of carda are ridiculously expensive? That would make sense if it is a customized card
or one of a kind. Heck i made my own.

those cupcakes look so so delicious!

ReplyDeletePlease send some over to me Nelah! thank you :D I bought stuff to make cupcakes months ago and still in the cabinet, I was hoping to bake it for Kaylee's first birthday this week but I went ahead and ordered 2 dozens to save some time lol
ReplyDeletePS on your comment about 3 yr daughter..I actually can not wait until Kaylee is about 3. I think that should be fun age bc right now it's sooo much work, have to watch her every move! cant wait until she can speak and walk around :D
I would happily accept a package of cupcakes from you any day! They look so moist and delicious!
ReplyDeleteYours look amazing! I have been sticking to standard sized cakes since my little announced that she was sick of cupcakes. You're so creative. I can't even make a card to save my life. Home made cards are the best. There's so much thought and love that go into them.
ReplyDeleteNelah, I love the card you made! How creative. It looks professional. Girl I hate card prices, but I would have glue everywhere. LMFAOOOO I admire how you can put things together. I'm glad you two are using that mixer! It's the best and so expensive. Love your cupcakes. They look yummy! I'm a cupcake fanatic.

Your cupcakes are lovely in a very simplistic beautiful way. Just the combination of the deep red cups with dark brown chocolate cake and white frosting look so perfect.
