[Polka dots blouse & flats from Bangkok / Pants from Express / Dior Panerea bag]

Earlier this week, my sweetheart and I had a mini date for a few hours so we decided to go to a few places. One of them being a brand new outdoor mall. Since it was during a work day, it was fairly empty thus we felt like an entire place belong to us. After that we went for some yummy dim sum and burger feast before heading home to pick up a little one.

This week is pretty short because I only work three days and tomorrow is Friday again. Wish every week is like that...dream on!!

Sleepy Time at Narita Airport, Tokyo - Japan

What to do when an exhaustion from long haul travel hits you hard? Getting some sleep could not be a better solution. Narita Airport has become a familiar stop for our family because we always end up choosing this route when flying home to Thailand. It is the shortest lenght (24 hours) from the city we live in the US and we know exactly what to expect/find in Narita because we fly there countless of times. In the past two times we were tempted to fly with Emirates to experience Dubai but we packed that idea back in a suitcase due to an entire travel duration (can anything be longer than a 24 hour travel?!?!?) and decided to go to the same old but charming Narita Airport. Who can resist those souvernir shops and duty free extravaganza? I can always kill time there, that's for sure.

In this post, I am going to share with you some useful information in case any of you have to fly to Narita and end up with a long and undesirable layover but do not feel like venturing outside the airport. Dayroom is a wonderful and affordable option for an exhausted traveler who is looking for way to recharge his/her battery from a long haul flight. Our flight departed Bangkok after midnight so our arrival time in Tokoy was in the morning. In our case we had almost 8 hours layover in Narita on our way back to the US from Thailand. As much as I was so giddy and had this wonderful idea to explore a nearby city of Narita to kill time, my husband gave me a wise suggestion that we would rather get some sleep than going out there with a little one. It might end up being a diaster. True that!! So we chilled out at the airport, tried super tasty airport food (I am being sacastic here by the way) and got some rest in our room. When it was time to go, we got up and felt refresh to get on that 11 hour flight back home. Woooo-hoooo! Only 11 hours to go!!!!

The hub and a little one got some breakfast item and hot dog from McDonald while I decided to try the Japanese delicacies. Yuck - the rice thing with seaweed ended up tasting and smelling horrible. Extemely fishy!! It was nothing near fresh. What do you expect from airport food, right? I couldn't even swallow.

Japanese is also known for an invention of their high tech toilet. Seat warmer comes in handy but I was too scared to use the spray thingy..lol

Okay and who the heck designed this thing?!?!? At first glance, it looked exactly like a urinal in every angle. Who in the world would use it as a sink!!!! I felt extremely awkward using this especially to brush my teeth. It was kinda gross just thinking that someone may have used this as a urinal..lol. My husband cracked up when we saw me rinsing my mouth over this wired sink design. He had to take a picture. I know they proably try to save space but c'mon this "sink" is way to small. You can't really use it without getting the floor wet.

New Love: Orange!

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Is it so obvious that orgage is my favorite color at the moment? After days and weeks of wrapping myself in mostly casual (a.k.a. lazy) outfits with no makeup and messy hair, I feel it is about time to navigate away from those lazy days and put more thoughts/efforts into the clothes I wear. Clothes and makeup have a lot to do with how women feel towards herself. Playing a dressing game can bring such joy, power, confidence and positive feeling.

I personally think it is important that women take good care of her health and her look regardless of age and status. My boss who is a 65 yeas old lady seriously looks much better than me in every way. She looks beautiful for her age, her attitude and fresh fashion sense make her look forever young. Her appearance in public always looks so put together. She looks great even when she is sick. One thing that my mother has always reminded me is that “Women should never give up on taking care of herself, it is even more important especially after you have a child”. We tend to dedicate all of our time, energy and life into raising our children to the point where we forget or feel too exhausted to take care of ourselves.

To tell you the truth, it is not easy to always look good when you are a mother and there is no on-call babysitter around to lend a helping hand. There are days when I look like crap and feel so tired after working outside and doing 100 different things at home on top of chasing after a young one. Looking beautiful is about putting MUCH extra effort and get off your butts to groom yourself but after all said and done you feel great the minute you look into a mirror to see a differnt woman in reflection.

Is it just me or blogsphere has become such a quiet place in the last few weeks?

Something "Prada"

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket
We spent the weekend searching for a belated birthday gift for my sister-in-law and I knew she would be delighted to see this happy color inside a black box. Prada has somewhat become my "next" favorite brand because I love the understated beauty, elegance and sleek designs of their handbags and shoes. It is the kind of beauty I have grown to appreciate more and more. I ended up picking up this cute saffiano card case for her in Papaya color and have been lusting over a few items in their store. Hopefully I will make a trip back in a few months to snag those items on my wish list.

After a b-day gift hunting mission was accomplished , we strolled around a little longer and stopped by Neiman Marcus. Didn't really look into buying anything but stumbled upon this "ReVive" skincare brand. It has been a good while since I ventured out and tried a high end skincare brand, plus skin on my face is going through an extremely dry stage once again from a lack of sleep/stress so why not? I would just treat it as a belated birthday gift to myself then. Upon learning a bit more about the brand and its specialty, I thought I gave it a try but was quite shocked to hear a price tag of - $195 (before tax) for a 2 oz. jar - I really have a high hope for it. Gotta deliver some magical full face lift effect to my face!! Will do a thorough review in about a month or two.

White & Blue

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket
White pants have become such a hot item every spring and summer. Last time I wore a pair white pants must have been ages ago. I used to have too many clothing items in white color so I thought I should add more colors and varity. Plus it is quite impossible to keep white white after so many washes, it tends to turn yellow and eventually looks kind of dirty and that's probably the reason why I steer clear from white ever since.

Just to make it clear, those are not my typical gardening shoes but it felt kind of stylish watering plants in them!
