We spent the weekend searching for a belated birthday gift for my sister-in-law and I knew she would be delighted to see this happy color inside a black box. Prada has somewhat become my "next" favorite brand because I love the understated beauty, elegance and sleek designs of their handbags and shoes. It is the kind of beauty I have grown to appreciate more and more. I ended up picking up this cute saffiano card case for her in Papaya color and have been lusting over a few items in their store. Hopefully I will make a trip back in a few months to snag those items on my wish list.
After a b-day gift hunting mission was accomplished , we strolled around a little longer and stopped by Neiman Marcus. Didn't really look into buying anything but stumbled upon this "ReVive" skincare brand. It has been a good while since I ventured out and tried a high end skincare brand, plus skin on my face is going through an extremely dry stage once again from a lack of sleep/stress so why not? I would just treat it as a belated birthday gift to myself then. Upon learning a bit more about the brand and its specialty, I thought I gave it a try but was quite shocked to hear a price tag of - $195 (before tax) for a 2 oz. jar - I really have a high hope for it. Gotta deliver some magical full face lift effect to my face!! Will do a thorough review in about a month or two.
That Prada wallet is just gorgeous.

DeleteI totally agree with you on your description on Prada. It is a subtle brand. Yet the brand speaks for itself through the design and recent colors. I love their products.

Deletewhat a lucky sister in law, i bet she will be ecstatic to see that!! and wow that is one expensive lotion, i use clinique moisture surge when my skin is dry in winter time, works well and i thought $40 was expensive! haha have a great week Nelah

ReplyDeletei spend a fortune on skincare; a bad habit i picked up from my mother. she believes that you have to spend money to keep you skin looking healthy and youthful and i totally believe her because she's 64 and her skin is nearly wrinkle-free -- and she NEVER uses sunscreen (i don't think it ever occurred to her, not that she doesn't like it). so if my mom looks like that at 64 and spends money on her skincare, i'll follow suit to look like that at her age :D
Kathy: spening a fortune on skincare products is also my long obsession and bad habit i am not ashamed to admit as well ..haha. I would rather pay on these rather than going a plastic surgery route period.
DeleteHey, I want to be your sister in law! I don't think I've ever gotten such a lovely gift from any of the in laws! I must admit that I hardly spend that kind of money on skincare because the funds all go into my handbags :P

Big Prada fan too, love their current bag colour palette choices! My family bought me a Prada bag 2 years ago and I love it! I also managed to get a key holder on sale, guess what colour....purple lol x x
