I thought I was in London this past week mainly because of the rain that never seemed to stop. I can somewhat understand what it would feel like to live in a place where you can expect many gloomy and wet days. Sure was nice to have a temporary break from the cruel July heat but I am not too excited about what the rain left behind - a new wave of mosquitoes infestation! Gotta coat myself with mosquito spray in the days to come! To celebrate the arrival of the sunshine, why don't I wear something fun to work today.
[On me: Tank top - Victoria Secret (old) / Skirt - Zara (old from last year) / Shoes - Payless / Bag - Giani Bini (old) / Earrings - from Bangkok]
[On mini me: Dress and shoes from Bangkok / Sunglasses - Children's Place]
If you know me in person, I RARELY wear skirts on a daily basis. I have never been that super girly girl who wears skirts more than 20 times per year to be exact. I am more of the pants kind of gal. First off, I feel that I am always worried about the awkward moments that can happen when walking or sitting down with skirt. Secondly, my legs always feel cold especially in the office so I would prefer pants to cover up. On a rare occasion like today when people spot me being a bit more ladylike in my extraordinary feminine version, I would get nice comments which encourage me to wear skirts more often.
Nelah, that is such a cute outfit! I love the trimming at the bottom of that skirt. You and your little cupcake look awesome together. So cute! I foresee more mother and daughter posts in the future! hahaha Girl, it poured down raining here in new orleans. i thought i was going to have to pull out a canoe and paddle. hahahaha i use Off Deep Woods bug spray, because there have been several cases of West Nile here in Louisiana. Wishing you a wonderful week! http://www.averysweetblog.com/
Nelah, you and your little girl are so cute together! Love how both of you are posing in the 3rd photo. Dare I say you have a little fashionista on your hands? ;)
I totally adore the photos of you and your little miss! And both your outfits are so stylish! I really like the cut and style of your skirt. At least the rain has stopped. We haven't had much rain in our area that there might be a danger of draught.
We have the same criteria when it comes to mascara so you might like that one. I haven't had much luck with Maybelline but I've heard good things about L'Oreal.
Thank you so much for your continuing encouragement and positivity Nelah! It means so much to me and I'm working on making my way back :)
Hope your week is off to a great start! Rowena @ rolala loves
Love that photo of you and your little girl. The weather here has been horrific. It rains every single day. At least, the mozzies have stayed away too, thanks to the drop in temperature. I have never been a skirt kind of girl. I only own one but I like dresses though. I don't wear enough of that either because of the cold here.
i loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee you in skirts nelah! you look very fresh and pretty in them!
you should definitely wear them more often!! i'm trying to get into the habit or wearing them more because my husband loves me in dresses/skirts but i'm very self conscious in them hahahaha.. we should encourage each other to wear them more often hahaha!
