Not that I can go out and mingle after work very often these days with a task of motherhood at hands. However I secretly hope that there will be times when my husband and I can go out and enjoy a dinner outside home in a "quiet" setting (no children please , like I have enough of that at home hehe) on a few occasions.
I thought the idea of transforming from a professional work outfit to something casual is brilliant and saves time. I am too tired to go home and change into a whole different outfit just to go out again. I recently found these pieces in my empty closet that I put together for this transformation. A high waisted pencil skirt with buttons may be too sexy for my work setting but I cover that section with a blazer while at work. Purchased this blazer at Charlotte Russe in XS about a year ago, absolutely love it. Great price, good quality (is there such thing as cheap and good, yes there are!)

I LOVE that blazer and that skirt!
ReplyDeleteThrowing a blazer on top makes almost any outfit office appropriate, so it's a great piece to have when you might be going out after work. You look awesome!
You look great, Nelah. I have no problem changing to a different outfit when we go out :) I am very thankful to have my parents around so we can just drop her off when we need a date night. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI love it when pieces are so versatile. Swap an item here and there and you get a whole 'nother look. I'm really liking both outfits on you, Nelah! I hope you and your hubby can schedule a date night soon :)
ReplyDeleteYou know I am all for versatile pieces - I wear toned down cocktail dresses to work when I have plans in the evening and removing the blazer makes all the difference. I love your CR skirt - the buttons are so cute! :)
ReplyDeleteNow that your baby girl is a little more grown up maybe not soon from now you can start getting more date nights with your hubby! :)
i think adding the blazer is a really good idea, and it even looks good for going out. :)

Hey, thanks for following me! I love that blazer! I do the work to play thing most times. A lot of what I post on my blog are the "play" side of my work outfit. I think it's great to have versatility in your work wardrobe so you can also wear those items in the weekends. :)
