If you are like me who can't even name 5 happy activities..it may be time to revitalize our busy little minds. I am coming up with this little idea, i decided to call it "30 Happy Ideas". I will post 30 ideas that make me happy and share with you. If you are interested, feel free to join by leaving your comment and blog url so I can link to your blog and perhaps borrow your happy ideas too. You do not have to do a daily post and it doesn't have to be an entire post about it. Do it whenever or however you feel like (you can add it to the last paragraph of your regular post too, just whatever suits your fancy).
1st Idea: *Use my favorite perfumes*
My favorite perfume - "Lune" by Laura Mercier
2nd Idea: *Get in touch with nature* Even though it only means nature in my backyard. It is always good to go outside and take a full fresh breath of air, sit there and forget about everything and anything for 5-10 minutes
3rd Idea: *Decorate my food then eat it*
4th Idea: *Look and play with my clothes"
I love..love..love this top but haven't worn it
5th Idea: *Be lazy* Boy oh boy I wish I could do this one. I wish I could sleep in late every weekend. I wish I could take an afternoon nap or rest whenever I would like. I don't even remember when was the last time I slept until 9 or 10am in the morning. It must have been at least 2 years. Being lazy can be good but it sometimes makes me more streesful because nothing gets done around the house.
A winner of my giveaway will be announced in my next post. Thank you for taking your time to participate, please stay tuned :)

I agree with you, we're so busy with life and sometimes we forget to enjoy simple things in life. My husband and I just booked a vacation today and I couldn't be happier. The last vacation we took was 1.5 years ago :) I am glad that you're able to enjoy the simplest things in life. You're happy when you want to be happy right? Have a wonderful weekend, Nelah.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good exercise, I should put it into practice too. I loved the picture of the cat, is it yours? So cute!

Sydney: A vacation - how exciting! It is fun just thinking about preparing for a getaway and being there (not having to cook, clean and etc.)I totally agree "we are happy whenever we want to be", it is all in our mind. Enjoy your time and have a great weekend too :)
ReplyDeleteFlora: Yes - try it. I feel that most of us (including me) are sometimes (or most of the time) are too focused on ourselves and our problems in today's world. It makes a different when we look at it from a different angle or when we hear about those who are in a worse situation than we are. Have a happy week :) And yes - that is one of my (lazy) cats.
Dear Nelah, Im so sorry I have missed so many of your lovely posts. and thank you for taking the time to comment on my recent posts. Things have been pretty hectic these days and Im afraid will get worse in due course.
ReplyDelete30 Happy Ideas is such a great thought. How very creative and looking at these pics with their little quotes, I feel very refreshed and inspired. Haha, looks like your cat mastered at laziness.
I cant agree more on your statement that we tend to get so engaged with our day-to-day work/chores. Lately, I have been extremely worn down by a lots of work-related stuff. In fact, (strangely) I was inspired by a quote posted on the door of a loo (in the dorm that I was staying whilst attending a work course in Oxford last week): It goes something like this: ...Even if things don't work well, like having troubles in life or failing exams etc....it is not the end of the world. There is a huge world that goes on outside our little bubbles and therefore we should DRINK IT IN! That was my wee loo wisdom of the week.
Thanks for coming up with this brilliant idea.
Nelah, what a great idea! You're right that we all get so caught up with life that we don't actually live it anymore. Focusing on the things that make us happy is a great way to step back and think about what's really important and how to get back to contentment.
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with you about wanting to just REST. At this point I'm not even sure what the term "rest" means anymore!
Come take a look inside A Working Mom's Closet
Lovely top, adore the colour and ruffles, ruffle, ruffles!

Yes, me too, I'm in love with photography at the moment, especially photo's with a blur in it!
xo
Wise words. I think life is hectic especially with so many things to do. I am happy playing with my rabbit and looking at adorable animal pics. Makes me chuckle. Pets have the good life.
ReplyDeleteIm all about the rest too....its all hustle and bustle....I was just thinking these exact same thought today!!!
