First love lasts a lifetime

Whether I want to remember it or not, it never appears that I can ever forget my puppy love. When September comes around, it brings back memories and reminds me how I fell in love and how I lost it.

Looking back now, it is funny (definitely not funny when it happens, right?). I was not sure if I could remember more of the good times than the bad times. First lovehit me hard. It was one of the best moments in my life...I got to experience the butterflies in my stomach. I know what it was like to be crazy in love. That love happened in no time but did not last long either. We were both still young, immature and probably expected too much from each other. Things quickly turned sour. Perhaps, we were not meant to be together.

Apparently, losing the first love is the best thing that could ever happen. Since then, I become stronger, more mature and realistic. Most importantly, it proves to me that true love will come around, if not now it will be later.

It may take someone a lifetime to find Mr. or Ms. Right. You see some people have gone through heartbreak after heartbreak and never seem to find the one. Perhaps finding love is not as difficult as keeping the love.

What do you remember from your first love?

P.S. Sorry I haven't commented on your blog lately, I am dealing with my litte girl's temper tantrums in the past few days. She is on her way to become the "terrible two"!! Wish me luck in this battle.

  1. Heh good luck with your little girl! I don't know what it's like, but I experienced my sister's dog's "terrible 2"! We never won.. that dog pretty much has control over us to this day!

I always hope that everyone in the world finds their Mr. or Ms. Right! I think there's no feeling like being so completely happy and in love with "The One"!

And hey you changed your banner! I like the pink+black.. but I also liked the photo of you in the old one!

  2. Thank you Sophia, you made me laugh with your sister's dog's terrible 2. That pretty much describes what it is like lol. Either pets or kids - they just know how to manipulate us and push our buttons, don't they?

On the banner, I have changed it about 100 times hehe. I just like to design stuff so we will see how long I can stick with this one ;)

  3. I married my first "real" love so I'm hoping never to find what it feels like to lose mine! Not really counting my puppy love BF in middle school though... it was more like a mutual crush than a real relationship :P

Hope things with your little one will get better soon! :)

  6. Hi Nelah, I am so glad that my daughter is way over terrible two. She is very interested in showing her "lady side" even though she is only 5. They will change from time to time. I am not looking forward to their teenager stage. I don't remember my first love but I do remember when and how I felt in love. It was quite a story. I won't share too much on here but I do believe true love existed. I also believe true love will last forever.

  7. You'll win the temper tantrum battle. I have faith in you! They're not easy, not fun, but I know you can do it. Lots of patience and you have to be willing to sacrifice dignity if she has one in public. You have to not care at all what the people around you think and just simply do what you know is best for your child.

I do remember my first love. Although part of me would rather forget! First love is very different from true love, thankfully!

  8. Ahhh, first love is so cute and funny at first. My first love is actually the bf that I'm currently dating now. I know many experiences of first loves that didn't turn out so well since I listened from my friends experiences.

LOL sophia's comment on the dog's terrible two made me laugh!!! Your daughter will get over this phase, I hear that 3 yr olds are the mobile, non stop talkers!

  10. That's a really heavy topic you brought in front of us. We all say it's the journey that counts, not the result. But don't we all hope the journey leads to a good result? Some things are never to be forgotten and they are special to you, forever.

I have been through 2 terrible 2's and they last for many years. Haha. But it'll be over before you know it. Good luck.
