Fall/Winter Colors & Eyelashes Curler Tip for Puffy Eyes

You may have seen a brief appearance of this animal print top in my previous post, this post features a full version of what I wore on weekend. You will see it a few more times this week since I took a lot of photos and planned to use them for different posts. Fall is only two months away. I am excited for the season change than ever because it has been waaaaaaaaaaay too hot. A nice break from brutal heat would be nice and more rain will be very much appreciated.

This weekend, I was looking through my closet and found this animal print top laying in a bag labeled for donation/garage sale. It was almost like I fell in love with it again since I hadn't seen it in awhile. It was nice to be able to shop in your own closet without spending extra $$, wasn't it? Animal prints are always in trend during fall/winter. I have accumulated a few pieces and waited to wear them around that time. I got this "Candies" brand from Kohl's about two years ago, it still is in a great condition because I haven't worn it a lot. Love all the playful details.

This Smashbox eyeliner pallette come in handy and these colors make a perfect pallette tor fall/winter eye looks. I got this a while back but hadn't used it until this past weekend. The cream eye liner is quite different from what I am used to. I also used the lightest color (#1) as a creamy eyeshadow. Somehow I noticed that my makeup doesn't show up too good in photo because my makeup looks pretty much the same. Perhaps I need to apply more for the colors to show.

Also I have an interesting tip to share, especially those who have puffy and tired eyes like me due to sleep deprivation or too much study/party. When I need a quick and refreshing trick to make my eyes look more awake, prepare a glass of cold water and dip your eyelash curler into water for about 10 seconds, wipe it dry and curl your lashes as usual before applied makeup. Repeat a few times. I love the cooling effect it gives to my puffy lids, my eyes look more awake and the lashes look great. When I feel that my eyes are getting tired from prolong staring at a computer screen, I will use cotton balls and dip them into cold water, squeeze water out. Lay down flat and put cottonballs on my eyes, listen to music and just relax. It is a great stress relieved method :)

  4. I love this outfit...Can't believe almost donated that top! I am also in the market for new make-up colours as well. The make-up doesn't really show up and I thought it was just the pale lipstick, but I think I need more than that! I'll have to try out these cream liners.

  10. You look great in that shirt...its awesome and I am so glad to hear you fell in love all over again!
I do this often...re-shop my closet and think about different ways to pair items together
I also do it a lot for my clients....help them shop their closet and rediscover items that have been forgotten.
First time stopping in....can relate completely as I started my blog about a year and a half ago- when I had my son and wasn't really sure where "I" went....So thankful for the journey and all the wonderful people I have met!!!
Following along w you now...be back soon.

  13. That's a great tip Nelah! When I started taking eye makeup pictures the colours looked so washed out. When I finally got my hands on Too Faced Shadow Insurance the colours definitely looked more vibrant and true to life in the pictures.
