Ever since I blogged...

One of the things I love about blogging is that I begin to learn about myself and discover my passions and dreams through thoughts and words written out in words here in this blog.

Photobucket

Ever since I started blogging. I have discover many passions like photography, writing and soon jewelry making along with a great inspiration to become a better mom.

After one year, two months and 14 days into blogging, I am quite amazed at "Total Pageviews". It almost reach 50,000. Without this stat, I seriously had no clue how many people have stopped by this little blog.

I would have closed this blog long time ago since it was my understanding that no one ever read it but me. You have no idea how many times the thought of closing this blog came across my mind but I know I love blogging too much that I don't see myself giving up anytime soon.

Blogsphere is such an inspiring place to nest and share your thoughts and creativities with others. I am excited to see how far this blog will go and what else I will discover along my journey.

**What have you learn or found through blogging?**

  4. I have met a lot of nice people like you through blogging! At first I had no idea where this would take me but I enjoy it, I enjoy reading what others have to say, how they put their spin on things, and the honesty that comes forth in blogs. You always look so stunning in your photos, I'd never see the stress behind it all! Congratulations on 50K views, that is fantastic!

  5. I enjoy reading your words and if you ever stopped blogging, I would cry. lol There are many people out there who learn a lot from you. Your tips in fashion, choosing bags, motherhood etc.

Well, it's great that you rediscover yourself in ways that you may not have if not for blogging. Photography is a great skill. Jewelry making fuels your creativity and in the process earn you some income too. Writing is therapeutic.

For me, blogging allows me to realise my talent in writing. Hmm... not so much of a talent but I'm surprised at my descriptive writing. I used to do very badly for descriptive essays in school coz I always end up writing narrative essays with only a smattering for descriptive phrases. I learnt how to connect my thoughts more fluently through writing too.

I also refound part of my creativity which has been lost for a long time. Nobody ever said I was creative but once people started reading me, I'm better known as the creative one.

I would love to learn more about photography but I'm such a lazy person and I know how expensive this hobby can get just by buying lens.

PS: I'm listening to the video of Chris Botti you embedded here on repeat. Beautiful smooth jazz in the wee hours of the morning soothes the soul.

PPS: Not to sure if you would click back to read my reply to you on my blog... I mentioned that your hubby made the right decision to take that NPL.

  10. I *so* agree with this post. I actually started with YouTube first, and made a blog to supplement my YouTube. But soon I found I enjoyed the writing and photography aspect of blogging far more than making videos. I have seen so much encouragement and support from others... I continue to be shocked that people find interest in what I have to offer and feel so humbled and thankful for it.

  13. Hi Nelah, what a great post (as always!). I love blogging because of the people that I get to connect with that I wouldn't have otherwise. It's so positive to surround yourself with a great supporting network of people who share the same interests as you. You are such an inspirational blogger, and as Jo said above, if you ever stopped blogging I would cry too :(- congrats on the 50000 pageviews and look forward to 50000 more!

  14. Hi Nelah,

I'm a new gal on the blog (lol) but I've loved writing ever since I could write! Through blogging, I've met wonderful people who inspire me so much, like you, aaaand I make more effort and put more thought in what I do and what I wear everyday.
    It's been a pleasant journey.
No wonder you have so many readers, your words are just lovely. Truly. I love reading about your journey in welcoming and embracing motherhood. I hope when the time comes for me, my motherhood mode will kick in, too!

  15. I started blogging about the same time you did. It's a wonderful community and I've met such lovely ladies from halfway across the globe whom I'd never have the opportunity too. Keep up the wonderful job. I've just discovered your blog via your lovely comment on my interview at FeatherFactor.

  16. Oh Nelah, you look so lovely in the pic with your huge camera. You look like a professional. I am very glad to hear that you have discovered the many things that you enjoy doing.

Many times, I have contemplated in stopping blogging all together but the thing that kept me continuing is mainly because I kept on meeting lovely and sincere people in the blogsphere just like yourself who are kind and have interesting things to say.

Im surprised to learn that you were surprised at your total page views. I don't see why you should be surprise at all. You write well and you inspired a lot of people on many different things be it fashion, photography, motherhood or even crafting despite being a busy 24hr on call mom.

p/s: on a very, totally random aspect, what is your skin type?
