A little something..Dior..~*

This handbag was totally an unexpected purchase. You know how it goes when you "think" you are not going to buy something but you end up with a little something..something. That is a case when temptation and weak mind crash, you let your evil side win. It was quite an interesting buy in a way because I looked at this bag several months ago before got bitten by a Chanel bug. I didn't like it but I secretly thought about it the whole time!

It didn't make any sense but I realize deep inside I wanted a big tote for everyday use. LV is not my first choice because I am not fond of monogram canvas or anything with multiple logo across the bag (never say never because I may like it later). Thought about Chanel PST and GST but ended up hating them becausethey were way too boxy. Not sure exactly why I didn't love this Panerea at first sight, perhaps I looked at a bigger size and it overwhelmed my body frame. However, during this visit I wandered into the Dior Boutique again just for the fun of it and a genius SA happened to know just what to do when I started grabbing and trying some of the Panereas on the shelf. She went to the back and grabbed 3 different colors in a "perfect" size.

When my eyes met this beige color, it was love at first sight. Its size, its gold hardware..I felt that it could make a great "everyday" bag. Of course my holy grail dream Dior purse is "Lady Dior". I have dreamt about that bag over a year ever since I spotted it on a TV. That medidum maroon red Lady Dior got me interested in high end designer bags, before Chanel...before any other brand.

But...but I do not want another lambie at the moment. Lambskin is somehow too delicate for everyday use in my opinion. Low maintenance and durability are two main must haves, yet I want something that looks quite nice. The material is coated canvas, can be cleaned with a damp wash cloth. There are many colors to choose from and patent finish is GORGEOUS. Black, red and light pink...I want one of each, please.

Seriously, this "small" size is not small at all. I can fit everything and more, yet still have room 50% of empty space in the bag (and you know I don't carry light). I am 5'2" and 96 lbs, so you can see how it looks on someone my size. There are 4 sizes...Large, Medium, Small and Mimi (which is a limited edition, it is so cute and not too small). Overall, it's a nice everyday tote and I have been using it about 3-4 days a week. It is nice to be able to just dip my hand in there without opening a flap or a zip or antying (if you like open top bag like me). Oh and you can also change its shape by pulling the inner straps together to create a new look and make the top not as open. How cool is that?! The only unfortunate part of this unexpected purchase was that I didn't know Dior was going to increase the prices, or else I would have save some $$.

Since Jo asked how this bag looks when fastened the inner straps together. Here goes. I took these pics earlier this year but totally forgot about them (LOVE that pink, it would look so cute in mini size...oops my evil side is rising again!!!).
