Fake but Quite Natural Looking~*

Photobucket

How can something fake look quite natural? Is there such things? You may be wondering what the heck I was talking about. False lashes - that is. YOu know I am a TOTAL sucker when it comes to applying eye makeup, not to mention my failure after failure at trying falsies. Finally, the day has come. I have a success story to share, it was quite an achievement I am telling you.

Buying another pair of falsies was not quite in a plan since I placed an order of a Fiberwig mascara along with some other goodies (a Japanese brand that has fiber in them which I used in the past before moving to the US) from Sasa.com. The thing has yet to arrive and I needed something for my husband's reunion night. Buying anothe tube of mascara was not an option either so I was looking into giving myself a try one more time.

{just ignore my crappy eyeliner job, okie dokie?}

Seeing this brand about 100 times at my grocery store but this "made from (sterilized) 100% human hair" line sounded extremely creepy and turned me off every time. I know..I know it said "sterilized" but they can san whatever they want. My option was quite limited and after looking at the available options I decided to give this brand a try at around $6 - nothing to lose if it didn't work. Most falsies just look way too dramatic and I didn't feel like looking like a drag queen for this particular night. My first impression with this brand is that their bands are clear and invisible, unlike most falsies that have such thick and hard bands which make application more challenging and look quite obvious. The most amazing part, a sucker like me could apply these lashes like a pro (kind of). They look so natural that I had to apply some mascara to build some volumn for night event. Overal, I am quite pleased and glad I gave it a shot.

  2. Nelah dear, I thought all along you had false lashes on coz many of your close up pictures had lashes that look like that. Your natural lashes are long to begin with? Or did I mistake looking at your daughter's lashes for yours? hehe... I think human hair sounds creepy too but I'm glad you tried and that you like it. No, your eyeliner is perfectly OK!

  6. This sounds perfect for my peepers. I like how natural it looks on you. And knowing that you had to apply a coat of mascara to add more volume to it, i can feel that this pair is ideal for those who want to wear natural-looking falsies :)

    now, i just have to scout the malls for the brand. i hope we have it here :) thanks for reviewing!

  7. It indeed look very natural. Good for you to have found a great pair of natural looking lashes. I discovered Shu Uemura's lashes are comfortable too. Recently I bought 6 pairs of lashes from Taiwan but I've not tried it yet. Maybe I should and see if it is as comfortable.

  8. Nelah, faking is good sometimes. Your lashes are proof of that :) Great job. I have yet to try to apply fake lashes myself but i'm sure that it would be worth the effort. I actually use Fiberwig mascara and it's amazing, it never smudges and stays on all day. BTW- your skin always looks perfect in your photos. Just thought that I'd mention that!
