My hubby took our little one to his mom on the 4th while I was doing grocery shopping. I just felt like I needed to get this grocery done on Sunday so that i could just relax on Monday which was my last day off. It was actually a pleasant grocery shopping experience when I shopped alone because I spent less than when my husband and I go together. He is like a kid in a candy store and has a tendency to buy too much snacks. I will have to go alone more often! After grocery trip, I went over to my in-law for some hot dogs and cupcakes. Look how festive these little cupcakes look!

We didn't stay to watch the fireworks that night because my husband had to go to work and I didn't feel like it. Plus the little one goes to bed as early as 7pm everyday so I can forget about keeping her up late at night.
So my sat & sun flew by just like that without clothes shopping. I told myself I would go on Monday no matter what and I did. I tagged my husband and our little one one along which turned out to be a mistake. I just couldn't shop in peace! I did a super quick shopping in Sephora..I went in and out..grabbed a Night Moisturizer in 5 mins. I also made a quick trip to LOFT but didn't find anything that I really liked so that was quick. I popped in Bebe store real quick to check out their sales racks..I personally like this brand but most items are just not appropriate for work (dang!). I find their clothes to be very cute and sexy and I like how they put the outfits and accessories together on displays.
My next stop was Express, I actually liked one white blouse and wanted to try on...but all of sudden my little one got real fussy because it was past her nap time. So I left empty handed -_-.
Lesson learnt...go shopping alone next time!!!! I am looking forward to a great shopping experience. Period.
I'm sorry to hear the weekend wasn't the best! But at least you got to spend time with your family. I agree that shopping is best without the hubs/boyfriend or kids (for me, kids = my little brothers). Better shopping luck next time! At least it is good for your wallet and budget : )
ReplyDeleteI've friends who became moms in the very recent years. We used to go shopping every weekend, either real or window shopping. Nowadays, they frequently complaint about leaving malls empty handed because they brought their kids along.
ReplyDeleteLife changes when you have kid. Kids are fun but equal lots of work. It's best if you have someone take care of little one so you can have time to browse at the mall
ReplyDeleteJean - thank you for a positive note. I am really looking forward to my alone time. Hope I can get something to share with you.
ReplyDeletePetiteGorgeous - I guess I am not alone then :). You briefly mentioned on your blog about your upcoming wedding..Congrats. I can't wait to see the pics from your special day.
PetiteLittleGirl - yes I really have to do that and just enjoy a "me" time. It is hard when I feel obligated to take care of her 24/7. I often tell myself I need to let it go and I must do it.
