My Shopportunity

This past Saturday was my shopportunity which only occurred once in a blue moon. Yes..I finally went (clothes) shopping (yay!!!!). I dropped my little one off at my mother-in-law's house and headed to the mall as soon as it opened, Was I excited or what?

Well..this first store was not clothes related but I always find something to buy at Sephora. Even though I just went last week, I managed to spend money.

I decided to check out LOFT again to see if there's anything new. I went inside just to be extremely disappointed because nothing was new and their petite selection was awful. After LOFT, I went to this store called "Sasha". It is basically a junior clothing store but I was once able to find something wearable. I grabbed this pencile skirt in dark brown along with this top and decided to keep a skirt. That top is way too big and wide on my shoudler. I mean the sizing is "Small" but definately not designed for small Asian bodies I guess.

Next destination was Forever21, I actually bought 5 items (the other two top are in the washer as I am typing). I was pleasantly surprised to find something that actually looked decent in terms of style and quality. (My apologies for the lighting..I took these pictures at night). The fitting is alright..wearable but not perfect. They are still a little too big especially armholes (oh well).

I especially love this blouse. Sweet and feminine so I bought two in pink and ivory. I can see myself wearing them under a blazer.

I have a blazer from another junior clothing store called "Charlotte Russe" that I can pair with thsi blouse.

I think the brown pencil skirt pairs nicely with a Forever21 blouse. They look more expensive and sophisticated together.

I have had this skirt forever and I think it looks good with the blouse as well.

After this latest haul, I just realized that I hate shopping for clothes because it takes so much effort/time/energy to search/hunt for items that fit my body. I salute you petite fashion gurus out there for your extraordinary patience and effort, and I certainly appreciate the findings you ladies share from your experiences. I just dont' have the same patience (sigh!)

  1. I love that blouse too! (the one you have in 2 colors). Looks very soft and feminine... too bad the armholes are low like you mentioned.

  2. Great finds! I understand your frustration and feeling tired with shopping. It's especially hard to find stuff at places like F21 because that store is so overwhelming. That's too bad about the LOFT by you...mine was stocked with petite stuff!
