Leopard & Ruffles

One of the reasons I continue to fall deeply in love with blogging is because this blogsphere is such a nice place to find inspirations and be inspired. Whether fashion, beauty, DIY projects, cooking to even parenting...you name it. As someone who is far from being fashionable or creative when it comes to clothes, this is a place to be and to learn. It is important to find my own unique style.

Almost ten months into blogging, I FINALLY..yes...finally for the first time..to feel inspired by this 'tres chic' outfit from one of my fellow bloggers - Cee of "to brighten my day" - thanks Cee :) She is known for her talent in incorporating a scarf into her outfit and creates something new and stylish in her own way. I am totally in love with this look from her post which she paired an animal print scarf with a super duper cute Express coat. You know I am obsessed with ruffles and feminine styles.

Animal print blouse from Sasha in XS / F21 Ruffle Cardigan in XS / F21 Leather Skirt/ Belt - came with another outfit

As excited and inspired as I can be, I could immediately think of a few items in my closet that I can use to create something using a combinayion of animal print and ruffles. TA...DA....these three pieces are my favorites. I have never thought about pairing my animal print top with ruffle cardigan but I LOVE the result. Do you want to guess how much this look cost (a blouse, a cardigan and a belt combined)?..no lower than that...yeah you almost got it...okay..okay...it is just a little over $50! Amazing, isn't it?

I love how the dark colors and animal print create some drama/sophistication and mystery while that light brown ruffle blouse add a romantic touch to the entire outfit so I don't look like a bitchy demanding little woman. One thing I regret is that I should have bought two of the same animal print top because I really love it so I have a backup in case something happens to one of them.

  2. Yep, reading blogs definitely gives me inspiration. $50 is not bad at all for the top half of your body....I think its pretty good to get a whole outfit under $100.

  4. You paired the leopard print blouse very well with the ruffles which softens the whole look. Animal prints always remind me of the reality show Jerseylicious where the girls all look like mean bitches. Over here, you gave animal print a whole new meaning.
I have the tendency to buy 2 of my favourite stuff just in case the other wears out.
